**Weekend Junior required to work in the Operations/Reception Area of our busy Flying School Sundays 10.00-18.00 Hours.**

**DUTIES:

- **
- Greet and welcome visitors to the office and ensuring they sign in the visitor’s book and informing the relevant member of staff of their arrival.
- Assist with providing professional reception service to customers and visitors, including the security of visitors to the club
- Monitor and ensure that the reception area is kept tidy and projects a business-like image.
- Accepting and record incoming telephone enquiries, taking customers details sensitively, discreetly and accurately and sending the requested information
- Providing accurate information to customers about SFC services both face to face and on the telephone
- Dealing with client’s bookings, cancellations and confirmation of flying lessons by phone and in person
- Provide administrative and general support
- Enter customers bookings on to computer system
- Check customers vouchers if attending a trial flying lesson and that they are in date
- Add up technical logs for aircraft and check they have been entered correctly on system
- Process payments and deduct money from customers accounts when applicable
- Manage flying instructors
- Assist with photocopying and distribution of information
- Filing student records on bad weather days

Skills and Abilities
- Operating computers and familiar with Windows program
- Ability to communicate in a wide variety of formats to a range of service user’s e.g.: customers, students, suppliers and Management
- Good inter-personal skills
- Ability to take accurate messages and disseminate information appropriately
- Ability to provide support to service users in an appropriate manner when necessary, using a range of skills including active listening skills
- Able to be discreet and diplomatic, approachable and flexible
- Understanding of the issue of confidentiality and working with confidential information
- Multi-tasking and ability to work under pressure

Teamwork
- Ability to work as part of a team with minimum supervision covering all aspects of the reception function
- Experience and ability to use own initiative appropriately
- Ability and willingness to cover for other administrative team members and work outside of normal hours on occasions

Education
- Educated to a good standard
- GCSE in English and Maths
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

**PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE LOCATION OF THE AIRFIELD YOU MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORT. YOU SHOULD BE WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF TRAVELLING TIME TO THE AIRFIELD.**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £9.87-£10.30 per hour

Schedule:

- Weekends only
