**Job Description**:
Childcare Assessor - Hybrid Working.
I am excited to be working with a Training Provider that is dedicated to providing high quality and professional apprenticeships in Digital Marketing, Continuous Improvement and Childcare. They work in partnership with employers and further education colleges to provide relevant and valuable training to develop the future generation of professionals with a strong focus on quality delivery.
They are looking to add a Childcare Assessor / Trainer to their growing team for an April start - you will work with learners in South West London that are completing Early Years Essentials courses along with Level 2 Early Years and Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeships.
The Trainer/Assessor has the main responsibility for the delivery of high quality training and assessments in an agreed time scale to nationally recognised standards. You will be responsible for monitoring Apprentice learning and progress throughout the programme and reporting their progress.
The package available for the position of Childcare Assessor / Trainer:

- Basic salary of £28000 - if you do not have an assessor’s qualification your salary would start at £27000 but you will be supported through your qualification.
- 25 days annual leave plus public holidays.
- Hybrid working - 1 day per week at the centre in Baker Street and the remainder working from home and completing learner visits and training.
- Regular social events and company communication days where the whole company meet in person.

Duties of the Childcare Assessor / Trainer:

- To deliver classroom-based and workshop sessions to Apprentices associated with the Academy.
- To ensure each group is following the agreed program and schedule and to report Apprentice issues to the IQA Manager.
- To deal with any disciplinary and classroom management issues following the agreed procedures.
- To mentor Apprentices to achieve and learn professional skills required for the workplace.
- To monitor progress, mark all Apprentice assessments and feedback to the individuals, and to continually review and develop support resources for Apprentices.
- To ensure Apprentice registers are taken daily and any absence reported to the Academy Manager and to maintain appropriate tracking systems and procedures relating to quality, compliance, management, delivery and assessment.
- To ensure your compliance with business systems and procedures and to carry out Apprentice reviews as required.
- To attend all meetings and workshops as necessary to carry out your role effectively.
- To maintain 85% retention and completion of Apprentices and 100% accuracy on all funding and audit documentation.
- To ensure that the whole assessment process is followed and that Apprentice portfolios are complete and up to date.
- To ensure that all the compliance and process requirements relevant to your role of funding partners are met in full.
- Remain up to date with any changes with the framework, qualification and assessment processes.

Skills, experience and qualifications required for the position of Childcare Assessor / Trainer:

- Hold a relevant assessors award - TAQA, CAVA, A1, etc - or be willing to work towards.
- Experience in delivering apprenticeships and a knowledge of apprenticeship standards would be an advantage.
- Hold a relevant Childcare qualification at Level 3 or above or have vocational experience in a childcare setting - for example a room leader, Level 3 Teaching Assistant or above, etc.
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding, equality and diversity and health and safety.
- Have strong communication skills and be able to work alone and as part of a team.
- Hold a full drivers’ licence or have easy access to good public transport networks so that you can attend meeting and learner visits where required.
