**Position Summary: Builder Joiner**

QBuild are looking for an experienced Builder, from a joinery background, to work as part of our team building one-off, complex bespoke homes and high-end refurbishment projects (£600k+) across Scotland.

As a builder with QBuild, you will closely work with our operations director and the other Qbuild joiners to build complex, bespoke home building projects. You will also be working along side other specialist installers and subcontractors as may be required.

The successful applicant will be a motivated individual who has a genuine desire to learn across all project types and further their career with Q Build.

**Job Description: Builder - Joiner**
- Your primary role will be as a tradesperson on the tools, working on every aspect of the project from excavation to finishing
- You will ensure all site work is carried out according to project schedules while maintaining a high standard of work across the site.
- You will often be working in remote locations across Scotland, with accommodation provided Mon, Tues, & Wed nights, returning after work day on Thurs.
- You will demonstrate an ability to communicate clear and accurate status reports, on-site progress and subcontractor works to Directors
- Ensue work methods are performed correctly.
- Adhere to QBuild Health, Safety & Environmental Policy and encouraging safe working practices on site.
- You will ensure your van is stocked and ensure appropriate materials are on site and stored appropriately in partnership with other QBuild staff

**Person Spec. (Skills & Values)**:

- **Construction Drawings**:It is preferred that you have some ability to interpret, visualize and understand how Construction drawings translate into actual work.
- **Construction**:It is essential that you understand the interface between all of the key elements of a building, you will also have ability to troubleshoot potential problems as part of the team.
- **Passion**: You will have a passion for & experience of delivering beautiful, high-end, bespoke homes and appreciate variety.
- **Experience**: You must demonstrate considerable experience in Construction of Domestic Home and a thorough understanding of the build process
- **Work Ethic**:You will be invested in the project as a whole, and will not consider any aspect of the job as ‘beneath you’
- **Communication**:You will be able to proactively communicate accurately and honestly when feeding back to site directors
- **Self-motivated**:You will be someone who is excited to come to work each morning and enjoy engaging with the challenge of carrying out complex projects to a high standard.
- **Basic Computing**: Basic computer skills are a plus

**Must Have**
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role
- Must be willing to work away from home Monday to Thursday as required
- Drivers Licence
- Willing to work a 4 day work week

**Preferred but Not Essential**
- Basic IT skills
- SMSTS or SSTS
- Selection of your own tools

- PPE (Hardhat, masks, ear defenders, gloves, others as required)

Monday to Thursday 8.00 am to 6.30 pm

**Salary**: £37,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
