Our client based in the Alton area are seeking a Quality Inspector to join their growing team, working with a Zeiss CMM machine.

The successful quality inspector will have the following key responsibilities:

- Perform QC inspections according to documentation
- Program and set up our Zeiss O-Inspect CMM to inspect critical components
- Plan & schedule QC inspections of internal & external components
- Design QC documentation for existing components
- Work with designers during R&D to identify critical areas for quality inspection
- Define jigs, gauges, golden samples etc
- Log results of QC inspections and monitor supplier performance
- Perform QC of finished products and monitor performance of assembly

The appointed quality inspector will have the following skills and and experience:

- Good understanding and use of measuring equipment
- Experience programming and using a Zeiss or similar CM
- Ability to quickly learn functional requirements of our products
- Very high attention to detail
- Ability to understand and follow technical drawings and tolerances

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £35,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Alton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Quality control: 1 year (preferred)
