Primary Care Mental Health Team Leader

This is a new and exciting post to support the development and delivery of the mental health care offer within Primary Care as part of our transformation of mental health services in Dorset.

The post holder will be based and embedded within the Primary Care Networks in North Dorset and supported by the North Dorset Community Mental Health Teams. The role will entail line management of the Specialist Mental Health Practitioners based within Primary Care (ARRS Roles) as well as the Physical Health Support Workers.

You will provide clinical and operational advice, leadership and support ensuring the needs of the service are met by exercising and demonstrating high levels of clinical judgement, critical analysis, and decision-making skills.

Your role will be community based working Mon-Fri 9-5, but flexible working will be required to meet the needs of the role and service.

This post is initially for 12 months on a fixed term contract.

Travel across North Dorset will be required covering the main areas of Blandford, Shaftesbury and Sherborne, but a base will be provided at one location.
