Transport Supervisor

We are recruiting for an ambitious Transport Supervisor based in the South Yorkshire area.

Location: South Yorkshire

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, various shifts.

**Salary**: £25,000-£30,000 per annum

Transport Supervisor Responsibilities include:

- Manage drivers to ensure duties are carried out efficiently.
- Maintain high quality standards in line with OTIF measures.
- Enforce full compliance with all relevant legislative and corporate requirements relating to transport.
- Primary point of contact for any supervisory staff queries.
- Keeping track of vehicles and trailers to ensure availability for scheduled servicing and maintenance.
- Collaborate with the warehouse staff to ensure all loads are completed accurately and loaded on time.
- Communicate, practice, and enforce company policies.
- Assemble reports when necessary for the business.
- Administer the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members.
- Cooperate collaboratively with customer services to improve customer satisfaction levels in line with agreed business targets.
- Conduct Return to Work interviews and disciplinary investigations as required
- Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Transport Supervisor Requirements:

- Experience as a Transport Supervisor.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to plan, manage your own workload and communicate effectively to others.
- Knowledge of transport legislation.
- CPC (International) qualified would be advantageous (not essential).
- Experience in employee relations and dealing with HR cases.
- Experience of dealing with accidents/incidents and overseeing the reporting and investigating.
- Computer literate in the Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems.
