**H&S Advisor**

Utilities Design and Planning are a Salford based Traffic Management and Civil Engineering company established in 1996 initially formed to provide design services to high voltage electricity replacement schemes. We have developed and now provide design installation and management services to utilities, local authorities and private developers nationally.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety professional to join a leading construction company working across multiple projects in the North West. We are seeking an individual who wants to take on a challenge that will lead to career progression and further developing your skills and experience as a health and safety professional.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain, manage, and improve existing health and safety policies, procedures, and systems
- Assist with the preparation of health and safety risk assessments and method statements
- Overseeing the health and safety performance on site on a day-to-day basis
- Conducting audits, near miss reports and accident investigations
- Maintain reporting for senior management and operational requirements
- Advise staff on all safety, health and welfare matters to ensure that UDP complies with its statutory obligations.

**The Health & Safety Advisor will have**:

- NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent level qualification
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar health and safety position, preferably within the construction sector
- Happy to travel to multiple sites
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in conducting incident investigations and implementing appropriate remedial action.
- Experience of risk assessments, audits and report writing.

**Pay and Benefits**:

- Salary range: £28-£35K per annum plus car allowance
