Property Specialist

**About The Role**:
The Property Specialist - Architectural, will produce detailed store layout proposals for new stores, extensions, refurbishments and minor works projects. They will use technical building and retail knowledge to create proposals using AutoCAD, working cross functionally and collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Produce quality store layouts proposals for new stores, refurbishments and minor work projects using technical building and retail knowledge.
- Create store layouts using AutoCAD, working cross functionally and collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
- Production of scheme layouts to hit key deadlines on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Close liaison with Architects and other external consultants, identifying potential construction/detailing issues which impact upon the retail layout and providing swift and concise solutions.
- Close liaison with in-house Retail and Food Specialists to ensure that their requirements are implemented onto one drawing to be issued across the business and external consultants..
- Have an awareness of the cost and time implications of any scheme changes, which may vary considerably depending upon the project procurement method e.g. traditional or developer led, and what stage the project is at e.g. pre-planning, planning, on site, etc. This ultimately translates to delivering a successful project on time and within budget.
- Keep the as-built drawing portfolio up to date.
- Key Stakeholders to the role include the following: Store Planning & Design Implementation Manager, Store Trade Specialist, Space Planning Specialist, Construction Project Manager, Cost Manager, Loss Prevention Manager,, Productivity Manager, Architects and other external consultants / Retail Supplier
This is role operates over a four day working week*. Based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.

- Hold a clean driving licence.
- Experience in Retail or Store Planning.
- Previous experience as an Architectural Technician, preferably working in an Architects Practice or Retail setting.
- HNC/HND Building Construction Qualification.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
- Good attention to detail required, including the implementation of Morrisons own drawing standards.
- Ability to operate as part of a team.
- Working to deadlines on a regular basis.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Flexible and pragmatic approach to work, showing a ‘Can Do’ attitude.
- Capable of presenting solutions to Senior Management.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, a passion for excellence and an eye for detail.
