Programme Manager

You will be an active member of the Transformation Team supporting General Managers and Functional Heads, enhancing the capability within the NHS contract and its teams. Adding value at a Programme level, you will manage the progress of multifunctionalteams to the successful delivery of common goals by owning the plan. Also to lead the PMO, Project Managers and actively work with the functional SMEs and wider stakeholders, internally and externally.
**Programme Manager Responsibilities**:
- Be the primary conduit between the Project Managers and the Transformation Director
- Be accountable to the Transformation Director for the successful delivery of the Transformation Programme, on time, in full, on budget, and to the required standard
- Forecast and secure appropriate resources to enable delivery of the above competently, on plan, and to the required standard.
- Demonstrate a firm grip on programme resources and costs, including the utilisation of appropriate cross-functional Subject matter Experts (SMEs)
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of internal and external Project and Programme Management requirements, in terms of processes, standards, timelines, artefacts, reports etc.
- Create, and continue to grow and enhance effective working relationships with not just the Project Managers, but also the PMO, the Transformation SMEs, the Functional Heads, and the external stakeholders
- Prepare clear high quality outputs such as Exec summaries, milestone reports, meeting minutes, RAID Logs, financial and resource tracking analysis etc., all in line with our ways of working
- Work inside of Unipart’s PDS (Project Delivery System) for the duration of the Project Lifecycles
- Provide competent internal auditor skills
- Manage the Programme RAID Log effectively.
- Provide a ‘value add’ at Programme level
- Chair and facilitate meetings as required
- Provide the reports and artefacts required
**Programme Manager Requirements**:
- Graduate or equivalent, with demonstrable experience managing complex and wide-ranging Transformation Programmes.
- Experience of successful delivery as Programme Manager, ideally in a 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) environment, or possibly in in-house logistics.
- Experience of working in healthcare and/ or logistics operations is advantageous.
- Prince2 qualified or equivalent, and proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office
- Have strong interpersonal, influencing, and team-working skills.
- Be a pro-active stakeholder manager, with strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Have good knowledge of office and project management systems
- Show a commitment to continuous professional development; maintain your own personal development portfolio and actively develop your own skills and competencies, both technically and behaviourally
- Emotional intelligence plus proven competency in both numerical and verbal reasoning.
- This hybrid role is based working from home and ad hoc on site based either Alfreton, Cowley, Nuneaton, Coventry or another agreed Unipart location.
