Carry out routine patient dressings in accordance with practice guidelines after adequate training. Perform ECGs on patients as requested by GPs. Carry out various Health Checks to include NHS Health Checks, Pre-Diabetes Checks, Learning Disability Health Checks etc. Assist with the regular monitoring of Diabetes patients, to include foot checks Offer lifestyle advice to patients when advisable such as diet, exercise and alcohol advice with a view to health promotion The collection of clinical waste ensuring appropriate storage prior to disposal.
Ensure adequate infection control procedures in treatment and consulting rooms. The checking and recording of medical supplies on receipt and checking expiry dates. Checking and recording of equipment and fridge temperature checks in line with MMP policies Receiving telephone messages in the treatment room, recording and transmitting accordingly The inputting of information onto the Practice clinical system. Influenza & pneumococcal vaccinations and any other vaccinations appropriate to role in line with protocol once trained.
Administration of B12 injections as instructed by GPs. Advise patients on Smoking Cessation Chaperoning other Health Care professionals when required. Work safely at all times in accordance with Legislative requirements and Practice Policy and Procedures. 3.
Other Responsibilities Health and Safety To comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. To take responsibility for their own health and safety and that of other persons who may be affected by their own acts or omissions. To undertake and be fully trained and conversant with fire regulations and health and safety and understand what to do in an emergency.

Any breach of confidentiality may render an individual liable for dismissal and/or prosecution.
Safeguarding Whilst in post, staff are expected to acquire and update their knowledge on safeguarding as per the intercollegiate document requirements and MMP policies. General To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role, within the bounds of his/her own competence as guided by the attached management framework. To work across the various MMP sites as required. In light of national policy and due to the needs of the business it may be necessary for the Partnership to alter the opening hours of the surgeries.
This could incorporate different opening hours and weekend working which may effect when you are required to work. The post holder is expected to be flexible and accommodating, following consultation, in terms of any changes to operating times in the future.
