Arconic is currently in search of **Maintenance Planner** to join our Maintenance & Engineering Team in Kitts Green, Birmingham

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Ensure all maintenance activities are scheduled, planned and resource is efficiently utilized.
- Work within the Planning team to ensure that all duties associated with and to the Planning Department are conducted efficiently.
**Key Objectives**
- To engage in the development of the Maintenance Planning Department and the efficiency of activities it undertakes.
- Work with the Engineering and Maintenance Management to generate meaningful KPI’s to track the departments performance and ensure our action plans focus in the necessary areas
- Ownership of service contracts
- Work with the Planning team to ensure that KG for fills its compliance obligations (e.g. Lifting tackle & Crane inspections, LEV inspections, receiver inspections, etc)
- Work with the Planning team to ensure that KG’s Planned Maintenance schedule is accurate and fitting to the needs of the business
- Assist with shutdown planning
- Work closely with the Area Engineers and Area Team Leaders to develop, improve and progress maintenance procedures and reliability
- Support Area Engineers where required
- Work with the Planning team to ensure that there is an accurate training plan for personnel within the department and it is complied with
- Coordination of spares and the refurbishment program in conjunction with area Engineers and Team Leaders
- Generate, maintain and deliver KPI’s as necessary
- Take responsibility for certain aspects of maintenance equipment (e.g. RPE/Lifting tackle/etc)
- Work with the Planning team to improve the functionality of the maintenance systems (e.g. CMMS etc)
- Keen attention to detail.
- Support area maintenance teams with issues and breakdowns.
- Proactive approach and be self-motivated to achieve goals and targets.

**Basic Qualifications**
- Experience or a strong desire to work within a manufacturing/production environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels.
- Team leadership experience.
- Experience with planning and scheduling of works.
- Ability to take on small projects.
- Chair meetings.
- Deliver KPI’s in the agreed format.
- Experience in dealing with contractors and contracted services (service contracts).
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Technical knowledge within the areas of heavy engineering and fast paced production environments.
- Ability to analyze technically complex problems and develop the most appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work with others (at all levels of the organization) and positively influence a team along with a proven record of implementing change in a engineering and maintenance environment.
- Mechanical/Electrical background.

Our location is Birmingham, UK. It is a 33 acre site comprising of a Foundry, Hot Rolling Mill and a Plate Finishing department.
