**What is the job?**

The Senior Communications Officer role will focus on our flagship movement for change programme which sits at the heart of delivering Goal 1 of the NSPCC's strategy: that everyone plays their part to prevent child abuse and neglect. Over the coming years we want to reach a million people in communities and organisations across the UK, engage them in keeping children safe and inspire them to take actions that contribute to preventing abuse.

**What next? In the year ahead, we'll**:

- Evolve the pilot based on evidence before coming back bigger and better in 2024. Over the next three years, we want to give 200,000 people the opportunity to take our digital training, and roll out local workshops across the UK.
- Scope out a version of the campaign targeted at employees who have no direct responsibility for safeguarding via their workplaces.
- From 2024, scope a movement developed with and for young people.

**About you**

You'll:

- Be a motivated and collaborative professional with highly developed communication skills
- Have a track record of success in communications and marketing activity
- Have experience of running complex projects involving a variety of teams, and of managing stakeholders with competing priorities
- Be confident working autonomously within a supportive team
- Actively engage with the wider organisation.
