**Job Title**:Head of Transportation & Logistics UK

**Salary**:£100k + depending on skills and experience plus executive level benefits including car allowance and bonus

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Lead strategic projects to enhance transportation and logistics performance
- Identify and manage improvement projects, build relationships with partners, and oversee overall capability and performance
- Manage third-party logistics relationships, ensuring service levels are met
- Responsible for in-house or outsourced teams handling various logistics services
- Implement sustainable practices for optimal efficiency and reduced carbon emissions across the region
- Drive operational efficiencies and improve end-to-end logistics solutions
- Ensure compliance with import and export regulations
- Build strong internal relationships, emphasizing Transportation & Logistics within the entire supply chain
- Collaborate closely with Global Supply Chain functions to align transportation and logistics strategies
- Work within the senior leadership team and advocate for the Supply Chain Function
- Clearly communicate team contributions to IBP, functional, and strategic frameworks
- Champion the highest Health & Safety standards in the warehousing environment, promoting safety behaviors within the team

**Your skills and experiences**:

- Preferred Degree qualified or similar role with 10+ years’ Leadership experience; ideally with global exposure
- Knowledge of various transportation modes and regulations (road, rail, air, sea)
- Proven track record in managing people and complex projects
- Expertise in budget management, cost analysis, and identifying improvement opportunities
- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, compliance, and best practices
- High competence in key supply chain areas, including logistics, routing, scheduling, and import/export controls
- Familiarity with ERP systems, stock-taking processes, and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) management
- Experience in implementing transportation management systems (TMS) and relevant technologies
- Demonstrated experience in organizational change management
