Coded Welder

Russell Taylor Group requires a coded welder for a site based in Thurso

We are looking for a highly skilled substation welder to assist on a project aimed at enhancing the stability of the National Grid infrastructure

**You will be responsible for welding and fabricating aluminium components for the substation enclosure, as well as performing exothermic welding for earthing connections**

This role requires proficiency in both MIG welding for aluminium and aluminothermic (exothermic) welding techniques for grounding and earthing

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform MIG welding on aluminium components for the substation enclosure
- Conduct aluminothermic welding for earthing and grounding connections
- Ensure all welding work meets industry standards and project specifications

**Must have valid welding certificate for aluminium welding (MIG)**

**Certifications or qualifications in aluminothermic welding techniques for earthing connections**

**Proven experience in both aluminium and exothermic welding, particularly in a construction on industrial setting**

- **10 hours shifts - overtime available throughout the week and weekends **_
- **Minimum 4 months contract **_
