**Materials manager required by an expanding company that is a leading name in its industry. You will benefit from working in a very secure industry and will manage a small team while playing a pivotal role in managing material flow. The package onoffer includes a salary of £35,000 to £40,000 (dependent on experience), a pension, a potential annual bonus, and 24 days of holiday plus the Bank Holidays.**

The company is part of a larger global group that produces profits of close to £500 million and employs 10,000+ staff worldwide. The South Wales site is one of the leading companies in Europe in its field and prides itself on the innovation it delivers forclients.

**Materials manager duties will include**:

- Supporting the supply chain department and the wider business in approved strategic directions
- Managing the workflow of the materials team to maintain throughput
- Ensuring that the latest SOPs/Best Practice are being adhered to
- Ensuring continuity of your team's workload during times of holidays, absence, or periods of additional business activity
- Developing new and managing existing KPIs linked to materials management
- Delivering improvements to the department
- Ensuring incoming raw materials and subsequent storage capacity are effectively managed to support agreed targets.
- Managing the ERP software, including looking for ways to improve the system
- Previous experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Good knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, including creating improvements to systems
- Experience in communicating with suppliers and managing supplier relationships
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly with EXCEL
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal format.

**In return, the materials manager will receive a salary of £35,000-£40,000 (dependent on experience) + pension, potential annual bonus, 24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, etc.
