Satellite Ait Shift Lead Engineer

**Job Profile**

The AIT Shift lead shall:

- Advance alternative work to minimise downtime when tasks are disrupted,
- Carry out pre/post shift handover documentation
- Lead SQCDP meetings
- Prepare operational work plan/documentation
- Ensure correct H&S practices are adhered to in the clean room
- Co-ordinating test for critical integrations (Solar arrays, deployments)
- Co-ordinating critical systems tests (mechanical/electrical )
- Shifts will be a combination of days, earlies and lates (and possibly nights) within a reasonable period of notice
- Opportunity for working on other UK and overseas sites

**Skills/Experience Required**
- Essential_
- Satellite build experience
- Leadership experience
- Manufacturing engineering knowledge
- Desirable_
- Use of digital manufacturing execution tools
- Deployment of Satellite Solar Arrays
- Deployment of Satellite Antennas using Helium Balloon

**Education & Training**
- Essential_

Strong experience in a similar role is key for this post
- Desirable _

HNC / Degree

**Working Pattern**

A blend of Monday to Friday day and early/late shifts

20% rate uplift during times of shift working

**Travel**

Occasional travel to other UK and overseas sites

**Extension**

Possible extension after initial contract duration

**Base of Work**

This role will be working on site full time - free parking is provided
