Equine Groom Apprentice

We are recruiting for an apprentice groom to join our friendly team to learn all aspects of equine care. You will be working closely with our super team to deliver a high standard of care in our 5* facilities.

Duties will include but not limited to;
- Mucking out
- Turning out and catching in
- Grooming at top competitions in dressage and show jumping

When the facilities are completed you will also be involved in the ensuring the smooth running of our events.

**Desired qualifications**
- GCSE’s or equivalent in maths and English are desired
- Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or higher in Horse Care

**Future prospects**

**Training**
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
- The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship.
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and onsite visits throughout the apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.

**Things to consider**

- There is no accommodation on site, own transport would be desirable.

**Salary**: £5.28 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
