**Based at**:North Shields or Middlesbrough

**Full Time**:37.5 hours per week

**This role will involve some evening and occasional weekend working**

**Salary**:£26,683.81 to £30,324.54 per annum

- Experience of working with children and young people
- An understanding of the challenges that children and young people face and the barriers to success
- Strong advocacy skills
- An ability to relate well to children and young people and to use a variety of strategies to engage them and help overcome disaffection and low self esteem
- The ability to use initiative successfully within a team and when working alone
- Strong mediation skills
- an understanding of safeguarding issues
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
