To provide resuscitation training and education within the guidelines of the Trust, the Resuscitation Council (UK) and the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation. To provide resuscitation training which reflects current evidence and policy based practice under the direction of the Senior Resuscitation Officer. To provide clinical and technical support and advice as an active member of the cardiac arrest team. Will lead on specified, agreed training programmes.

Will be responsible for maintaining accurate resuscitation training records. Contribute to the development of specialised programmes relating to resuscitation and the deteriorating patient. Play an active role in the multidisciplinary team of trust wide staff and stakeholders involved in resuscitation and the deteriorating patient. To identify and participate in trials and evaluations of resuscitation and other related equipment.

Provide basic life support training (adult and paediatric) to all levels and disciplines of staff across the Trust. Will provide intermediate and advanced life support training to appropriate groups of staff. The post holder will assist in maintaining resuscitation equipment requirements by ordering supplies through standard ordering procedures.
