**Orthopaedic Supported Discharge Team - Clinical Support Worker**

**Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh**

Exciting opportunities are available to join the Orthopaedic Supported Discharge Team within the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in NHS Lothian. We have a position for a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW), and we are looking for passionate, caring, motivated people to join our highly skilled rehab team.

**What We Can Offer You**:
We have a vacancy for a HCSW who has a passion for care and rehabilitation to join our innovative and dynamic team within NHS Lothian's orthopaedic pathway, providing you with the opportunity to gain a breadth of knowledge and exposure to multiple specialties.

**Roles**:
As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will contribute to the efficient service provision:

- providing support with independent washing and dressing within patient's home environment
- providing support with independent meal making with patient's home environment
- providing prompting with medication as required
- providing support/supervision with patient's prescribed physiotherapy exercises
- encourage progression of mobility and transfer independence within patient's home and outdoors as advised by senior therapists.
- communicating effectively with other HCSW and senior staff on shift to ensure consistent approach to care/rehab provision.
- working 0700-1930 shift patterns (no night shifts), including weekends
- working autonomously in the community as a lone worker, managing multiple visits per day
- driving own vehicle or company car (manual gears), therefore the post requires applicant to have driving license.
