**Business**:
**The Position**

Applications are invited for a Transport Planner to work at our Doncaster Site. This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Once fully trained, there will be a requirement to be on call during some weekends, whichis worked on a rota basis.

As a Transport Planner your duties and responsibilities will vary on the Company’s requirements but will include:

- Planning daily workload for vehicles based at both Doncaster and Nottingham sites.
- Effective planning and utilisation of drivers and vehicles for deliveries and collections.
- Assist with effective route planning.
- Transport planning of raw material into Doncaster and Nottingham.
- Monitoring fuel levels at Doncaster and Nottingham sites and obtaining prices as required.
- Ensuring all loads are inputted on Microsoft Navision.
- Planning oils and fats loads each week for customer orders.
- Planning SPF outbound tanker loads.
- Planning and arranging outbound loads from Nortech.
- Maintain the Asset register for the group.
- Maintain motor insurance database for the group
- Maintaining the database for vehicles, trailers, journeys, mileages and costs on Microsoft Navision.
- Updating Merridale fuel system to add fuel purchases.
- Liaising with drivers on a daily basis and ensuring drivers hours are compliant.
- Ensure employed driver cards and vehicle tachographs are downloaded within set guidelines.
- Planning fleet services and MOTs in accordance to the O licence requirements for both Doncaster and Nottingham sites.
- Inputting service sheets onto the service planner and ensuring an effective filing system for all transport documentation to ensure compliance obligations are met.
- To provide cover for the Weighbridge Operatives as required.
- Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the Management Team.

**The Person**
- Good working knowledge of the transport industry.
- Previous experience within a similar planning role.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised and efficient.
- Be able to work well individually and within a team.
- IT literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Have good geographical knowledge.
- Willingness to be flexible in approach to work and working hours.
