**About the client**:
Our client is a well-established medical practice located in a vibrant city in Llanfair, England. With a commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services to the local community, this medical practice has become a trusted institution in the region. The practice serves a diverse patient population, offering a range of medical services that encompass general consultations, specialised treatments, preventive care, and more.
**Hours of work**:
Monday - Friday 17:30 - 20:30, a total of 15 hours per week.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment, surfaces, and patient rooms.
- Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
- Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to guidelines.
- Clean and sanitise public areas like waiting rooms, restrooms, and corridors.
- Perform specialised cleaning in critical areas like operating rooms.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient and public areas.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.
- Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
- Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
- Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.
- Collaborate with cleaning and medical staff for a clean environment.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
