Category Buyer

Job Introduction
Due to growth in the procurement department, we are recruiting for a Category Buyer, based in Birmingham Business Park, Solihull, to support the central procurement function at Colas with mainly indirect purchasing of commonly used products across the business. This is a strategic role and is responsible for the procurement of goods from £100k to £10+million for Colas ltd.

Main Responsibilities
You’ll work closely with the Senior Category Manager to assist in the identification of indirect categories such as plant & equipment, vehicles, fuel, PPE etc. Utilising the Colas ltd procurement process, the Category Buyer will put in place effective framework agreements for use by Colas ensuring all purchase and sub-contract orders are managed effectively in line with Colas’s governance policies and procedures.
