- As part of our ongoing commitment to invest in frontline services, to better enable us to support vulnerable children and young people to attend school and engage in education and learning, we are recruiting Reintegration Officers to become an integral part of our services to children and families. This new and exciting role will involve working within Hampshire's Inclusion Support Service and developing strong links with the LA’s Admissions Team and other services.
- As a Reintegration Officer you will be advising and supporting schools to ensure complex admissions cases are admitted to the most appropriate school, working with schools on integration and support packages for pupils and ensuring best practice in term of achieving high levels of pupil attendance.
- You will work with school placement enquiries for complex admissions cases and liaise with the designated admissions lead in schools. You will support colleagues from Admissions, SEN, EHE, CME and Inclusion teams in facilitating expedient transition for pupils into schools for complex admissions cases.
- You will act as a key contact for schools and children’s services on matters related to reintegration to school. Effective information sharing is critical for the role to ensure resources are used effectively to support the early lives of young children to help prevent poor outcomes.
- You will be expected to take prompt action, as early intervention is crucial to discharging this duty effectively in ensuring that children are reintegrated to school and receiving suitable education.
- We can offer great flexible working options for this role; although you will be based at Elizabeth Court II, Winchester, this role can be carried out remotely but with some office-based working required to support business needs. You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire, and it is essential that you have a current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.**Additional Information**:
