First Class Support provides academic support to students in receipt of disabled student allowance (DSA).

If successful you will be recruited as a Trainee notetaker at entry level and must undertake our in-house L3 notetaking distant learning course. After passing this training your hourly salary will increase **from £12 an hour to £16 an hour**

**This role is based at The University of Reading, the student is studying a** **Graduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatments.**

**Timetable will be confirmed during the recruitment process.**

You will be responsible to support students who require notes to be taken on their behalf. You will produce an accurate and legible record of the content of lectures, seminars, discussions, off-campus events etc. in the student’s preferred style and format.

Notes should contain pertinent information from the session which may include diagrams and may reference any hand-outs. The notetaker must hand over notes in the agreed format within a specified time frame.

**Your Experience**:
You will have experience writing notes at a further education/university level, it will be beneficial if you have prior experience working with students with specific learning difficulties or hearing/vision impairment. You will have quick and accurate typing skills.

**You will be required to use your own equipment to take these notes.**

**Please Note**: The working hours vary according to the needs of the student and the academic timetable. Due to the nature of the role, our support workers are required to be registered or become registered Self Employed.
