The Team & Focus of the Role

You will perform maintenance of the SharePoint Platform (Microsoft 365) and aim to troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions as well as provide support and end-user training. You will also be looking at data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss and ensure sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data. You will also review usage and activity reports and adjust (licensing etc.) to ensure optimised user-experiences.

This role will really suit you if you have a background in SharePoint Administration, as well as experience working with Windows Operating Systems, SharePoint tools and associated systems such as PowerBI.

This role will be based in Ashby, and although we do operate a hybrid working policy, it’s essential that you’d be able to commute to Ashby weekly. Our standard hours are 08:45am - 5:15pm (37.5 hours), however we’d be open to discussing flexible working requirements with minimum working hours of 30 per week.

Duties will include:

- Ensuring the operational health of the SharePoint online environment including security, availability, performance, interoperability, reliability, and licencing.
- Administration, support, and configuration of MS Office365 SharePoint for staff.
- Providing technical support of SharePoint across the enterprise.
- Maintenance of existing SharePoint sites and sub sites, lists, libraries, and content (including pages, workflows, and items)
- Configuring new sites, monitoring bandwidth usage, maintaining backups and deploying custom features.
- Ensuring workflows are in place to streamline content management, managing libraries and lists.
- Implementing security measures, managing user access control and monitoring for potential security threats.
- Keeping up to date with SharePoint developments and upgrades.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or similar.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a SharePoint Administrator
- Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office365.
- Knowledge of SharePoint tools, including ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks.
- Superb collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
