Yard Foreman

**We are currently recruiting on behalf of our well established client based on the outskirts of Lincoln. This vacancy is for a modern arable farm producing approximately 50,000 tonnes a year of root vegetables and cereal crops.**

**Principle Role**
- The successful applicant would be expected to undertake the following;
- Telehandler driver, loading lorries/grading lines.
- Forklift truck driver, loading/unloading lorries and stores.
- Artic shunter driver.
- Backup tractor and trailer driver.
- Potato/onion grading line operator/supervisor.
- Elevator operation, loading stores or lorries.
- Cleaning and routine maintenance of equipment and buildings.
- Managing agency staff, Training and ensuring Health & Safety Compliance.
- Weighbridge operation.
- Managing Audit Requirements.

As backup for yard manager;
- Checking/managing potato/onion/grain stores.
- Booking/managing agency staff.
- Communicating with customers.
- Onion Sales to Secondary Customers.

**Working Hours**

As you would expect on a farm working hours do vary, our regular start time is 7.30am, occasionally it will be necessary to start earlier. Most of the year, finish time is between 4pm and 5.30pm, however during harvest this can be 8 or 9pm (Aug, Sep, Oct). There can be weekend work at any time of the year.

**Holidays**

Your will be entitled to 31 days holiday a year (including Bank Holidays). If you are at work on a Bank Holiday, you will be entitled to another day in lieu.
