**REPORTING TO: Home Manager**

**Job Types: Full-time, Permanent**

**Salary: £10.42 per hour**

**JOB PURPOSE**:To work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the home, whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable environment at all times.

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS**

**Required**:

- Good communication skills
- Team Player
- Satisfactory DBS against the POVA List (where applicable)

1. To clean all public areas and residents rooms according to the cleaning schedules.

2. Sign in appropriate place for each task completed. This shows due diligence and is required by Care Social Services Inspectorate of Wales.

3. Use all equipment correctly, adhering to instructions and ensuring that Hoover’s are emptied daily and returned to the storage areas at the end of each shift.

4. Keep trolley fully stocked at all times with polish, spot cleaner etc. dusters should be kept clean.

5. Inform Assistant Home Manager if any equipment is faulty or if there is a shortage of cleaning materials.

6. Respect the dignity and privacy of residents by knocking before entering their room. Domestics Assistants **must not** enter resident’s rooms whilst they are being attended to by Care Staff.

7. Restock toiletries, soaps, towels etc as and when required.

8. To cover kitchen / laundry duties as and when required.
