Butler Rose are currently working with a manufacturer in the Ilminster area who have a current requirement for a Buyer on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation in fast paced procurement role.

Duties include:

- Procure materials according to business needs, adhering to MRP requirements.
- Manage inventory with internal and external partners to optimise stock levels and align with product lifecycle and business requirements.
- Support tender processes for new requirements and work with the team to negotiate pricing and terms.
- Foster and sustain proactive relationships with suppliers.
- Maintain procurement parameters in MRP/ERP systems, including supplier lead times, strategic safety stocks, and yields. Ensure all purchase orders and amendments are kept up to date in the system.
- Contribute to identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives.
- Monitor procurement KPIs (OTIF, Quality, PPV) regularly and publish them along with action plans to achieve agreed targets.
- Build strong internal relationships and collaborate with all departments to address purchasing issues and needs.
- Emphasize continuous improvement by collaborating with internal and group colleagues to enhance procurement and supply chain processes, tools, and practices. Implement new tools, processes, and procedures identified for group rollout.
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations, Company Quality and Environmental systems, and all other Company policies and procedures.
