**Job Scope**:
We are actively seeking Support Workers to provide assistance to our students both at home and in the classroom.

The role of Support Worker involves supporting young people aged 16 to 25 with additional social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them prepare for adult life and facilitating their transition into further education, training, or employment.

Working 12-hour shifts from 8 am to 8 pm, averaging 42 hours per week over 3-4 shifts, including every other weekend, your responsibilities as a Support Worker include supporting students in their morning routine after a handover from the night team. This involves using verbal and visual prompts based on individual needs.

Once at college, the Support Worker will collaborate with Teachers and Teaching Assistants, ensuring students remain focused on their work and offering emotional support as required. Acting as a key liaison point for parents and careers, you will also ensure attendance at health medical appointments.

Post-college, you will assist students in dinner preparation through prompting and motivating, actively participating in evening activities based on students' preferences. As a Support Worker, your success in this role hinges on your ability to engage and motivate students, fostering the development of their independent living skills.

- Capable of supporting and fostering independence skills, including budgeting, shopping, cooking, housekeeping, and navigating the broader community using public transport.
- Ability to provide positive prompts and encouragement while offering social, emotional, and behavioral support.
- Demonstrate a profound understanding of what constitutes good care, and prioritize the young person's needs, empowering them to achieve independence.
- Essential access to transportation and a valid driver's license.
