**The Opportunity**

An opportunity has arisen for a Quality professional to join the SPEAR3 family Product Assurance team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to provide independent assurance of the design and manufacturing teams to ensure the quality of our contractualdeliverables. If you enjoy being part of a multi-functional team, proactively solving problems then this role is for you.

**Main purpose of role**:

- Project Quality Authority, providing assurance of the project development and manufacturing processes and contractual deliverables.
- Identify quality issues/risks as potential risks for project milestone achievement. Provide potential solutions and lead aversion strategies.
- Ensure effective management of non-conformances to mitigate programme risk, including timely resolution of critical defects through completion of 8D's.
- Provide an independent view of the status of deliverables for design reviews and product life cycle gates. Facilitate closure of actions in a timely manner.
- Certify and release product to our customer, in accordance with the contractual requirements.
- Identify and participate in opportunities for business improvement.

**What we're looking for from you**:

- Preferably degree educated, or substantial experience in Quality Management
- Practitioner of current QA problem solving methods (8D, Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
- Excellent interpersonal skills are essential and able to influence others in a collaborative way.
- Highly self-motivated, and demonstrate a determination and persistence to deliver results despite obstacles and setbacks.

This opportunity is based at our Stevenage site, but will require provision of support at our other MBDA sites. Some travel (both UK and international) may be required.
