Our client is an early-stage, venture-backed start-up seeking to revolutionise the cellular bioproduction sector by building, testing & developing cutting edge machines. The aim of the business is to create scalable, fully automated systems by re-designingthe process of mammalian cell culture in a bioproduction/ manufacturing environment. Doing this will allow novel products in the cultivated meat & next gen therapeutics sector to enter mass market efficiently and economically.
- BEng/MEng (Mechanical, Bioengineering, Aerospace, EEE etc) or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience
- Prior experience developing electromechanical devices from specifications to manufactured product
- CAD (SolidWorks preferable)
- Rapid prototyping skills (3D printing, thermoforming, CNC machining)
- Ability to communicate across multiple disciplines; biologists, engineers, suppliers, consultants etc.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously (Jira, Confluence, Notion)
- Beneficial but not essential: programming (C++, python, git), electronic design, cell culture experience
