**The Role**

The guides writer will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of a wide range of guides, tools, and utilities for gamers. This is a full-time, hybrid role in which you would be expected to work from our offices in Bath at least 1-2 days per week.

To be successful in the role, youll need to be able to work at a fast pace, adhering to tight briefs, and responding constructively to feedback. The role offers the opportunity to learn more about SEO and put that knowledge to immediate use in a live environment. This is an entry level role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to new publications and website launches, as well as helping to ensure the continued growth of existing sites.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Writing and updating games guides
- Populating databased dedicated to game codes, stats, and information
- Making use of SEO tools such as Google Trends, Google Keywords, Google Search Console, and SE Ranking to identify coverage opportunities
- Implementing SEO best practice to ensure that content is discoverable by readers
- Helping to identify new games to cover
- Helping to identify opportunities to produce new guides or tools for games we already cover

**You will have/be/be able to**:

- You will have an understanding of games and the communities that play them
- You will be able to work to strict deadlines and briefs
- You will be able to produce clear, well-structured writing
- Some experience of SEO, though this is not essential
- You will be able to motivate yourself and produce quality output with or without direct supervision
- You must be able to produce proof of right to work in the UK by the start of employment

**Please also note that this role is hybrid (minimum expectation of 1-2 days per week in Bath head office).**
