As a member of our growing team, the Scientific Copy Editor will use their editing skills and technical expertise to support the growth of _Technology Networks’_ editorial output with a focus on custom content projects for key clients. The Scientific Copy Editor will work with teams across the business to proof a range of high-quality scientific content for accuracy and to ensure everything we produce adheres to our in-house style guide.

**Responsibilities**
- Proof and edit proposals, content drafts and advertising copy for key client programs
- Proof and edit _Technology Networks’_ monthly digital magazine, The Scientific Observer
- Proof and edit scripts and transcripts for video and podcast content
- Support the _Technology Networks_ editorial team in ensuring all content is scientifically accurate and meets our style guide
- Support the Managing Editor in maintaining and updating the _Technology Networks_ style guide

**Required Skills**:

- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Capacity to understand a broad range of topics, check for scientific accuracy and understand detailed style guidelines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, research and analytical skills
- Effective communication with remote teams

**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry or similar
- Experience editing scientific copy/scientific content
- Demonstratable passion for science and science communication
- An understanding of the science industry is desirable
