Head Barista

St Ives Bakery is family run business with a great team that work hard both behind the scenes and FOH

We are opening a new style outlet and we want this new venture to be the very best so we are looking for an experience Barista to be an integral part of this journey.
- Understanding brewing and extraction nuances to refined latte art patterns.
- Equipment care to workflow strategies
- Understanding of varieties, origins, processing methods & flavours
- Developing and maintaining their expert knowledge of coffee and educating clients and colleagues about these coffees
- Operate all aspects of the register, including cash and card transactions, scanners, and scales
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer, ensuring that all transactions are accounted for by the end of the shift
- Regularly performing stock checks in the coffee bar and placing new orders
- Following recipes and presentations for food as well as the beverage items, if needed
- Being punctual and maintaining regular and consistent attendance
- Comfortable working in a busy environment as well as its quite times
- Liaise with coffee roasters and management to ensure the smooth running of operations and delivery of quality products.

**Job Types**: Head Barista

Hours: 40 hours a week. 8 hour shift / flexible starts.

**Salary**: £11 to £12 per hour depending on experience

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Barista experience: 2 years (required)
- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
- customer service: 1 year (preferred)
