**Senior UX Designer**:

**5-week contract (INSIDE IR35)**:
We are looking for a Senior UX designer to join us to help our client drive conversion for a niche social product within the heated tobacco industry. The role requires someone who is a creative thinker and has a insistence of following human-centred design principles.

**Key skills and experience***:

- Expertise in taking projects from brief through to insight-led wireframes and prototypes that bring brands to life
- A keenness to explore the problem space before iteratively exploring solutions to meet those problems
- Strong presentation skills, experienced in iterating and presenting ideas, interactions and flows with confidence, guiding clients through the process
- Execute design, in varying degrees of fidelity.
- Proficient in using Design Language Systems and Figma.
- Present and guide clients through creative thinking.
- Identify technical constraints and business objectives and use these to inform design.

**Project needs**:
Our client would like to understand where and how to improve the customer experience for core products journeys, and to uncover User Experience issues through an expert and competitor review to inform the design so that the experience is seamless and consistent across markets. This is required to help the team:

- Make immediate changes to the customer journeys using existing design solutions based on expert reviews.
- Understand and incorporate market specific needs to optimise the customer journeys.
- Propose recommendations that are in the realm of medium-long term changes such as proposing alternative designs (e.g. proposing custom Figma components) or new customer journeys.
- Help the team prioritise and influence their e-commerce roadmap with high impact.

**Activities across the five weeks**:
**Project Kick-off, Set-up, and Immersion** - review all relevant material (including previous expert/competitor reviews) as part of the project immersion. Conduct stakeholder interviews (alongside a UX researcher and the client team), to gather further information/insights into each of the five markets win scope.

**Expert Review** - Work alongside a UX research to undertake an Expert Review (mobile only experience, with light-touch on desktop) for key journeys for the specified markets, assessing against a set of user experience principles. Outline design recommendations either through the use of Design System components (using Figma) or proposing alternative ideas/ideas or suggestions for custom components.

**Playback and Ideation** - Present to the full team on the insights and design recommendations. Facilitate a collaborative workshop with the core team (the Client and Foolproof team) following the playback to further inform ideas and recommendations.

**Prioritisation Workshop** - Co-facilitate a collaborative prioritisation workshop with the core team (the Client and Foolproof team) to review the set of recommendations following an agreed prioritisation framework (e.g., using criteria such as feasibility, viability, and desirability to inform the high-level backlog).

**High-level Prioritised Backlog, Final Presentation and Debrief** - Refine recommendations based on the prioritisation workshop, final debrief presentation, and delivery of high-level prioritised backlog.

**Additional information**:

- The start date of this contract is 6th March.
- The duration of this contract is 5 weeks.
- You will be required to use your own laptop.
- You will be required to be onsite twice a week either at our offices or the Client’s offices, both in central London.
- **This role is offered INSIDE IR35 only.**
