Furniture Designer

_Designer/Cabinet Maker_
Special Branch Furniture makes fine bespoke woodwork to meet our clients exact requirements. We also develop and sell our own products. The small team here provides a complete service from design through making and installation. We undertake commissions for both domestic and commercial clients. This includes free standing furniture, tables, storage, display, kitchens and specialist product design - all in a range of materials and styles. We work on a wide variety of ordinary, weird and wonderful projects which makes working here an enriching experience for anyone (suitably skilled and) interested in a challenge and fine craftsmanship. If you’re interested in art, design, photography, film making, social/digital media, or have management, business experience there may be opportunities to develop in these areas too.

A combination of acute attention to detail, a willingness to learn and the ability to work independently in a focused, orderly fashion, quickly and efficiently is what we’re looking for.

You will receive support and help to improve and learn existing systems. Equally, your input into how improvements may be made are equally valuable.

A combined minimum of 5 years making and design experience is required. Evidence of a solid woodworking foundation is needed, as well as a passion to be a great designer.

Pay variable according to experience.

Also happy to consider semi retired, part timer and self employed applicants.
