Are you looking for a position where you can make a real difference in safeguarding vulnerable children and young people?
Peterborough City Council is looking to develop the way information and data is shared between partners to improve day to day operational and strategic working in respect of Child Exploitation.
The role will be to developing multi-agency data sharing including governance and operational processes to support the multi-agency partnership to implement systems to record and map all Exploitation and Contextual Risks on an individual level and within places, networks and peer groups.
To work with senior management to ensure that the analytical solution incorporates and interrogates data and intelligence to inform operational and strategic planning.

What will you be doing?
This job will run over one year in the first instance to develop robust and appropriately supported sharing data and information relating to individuals, places, associations, groups and cohorts between the partnership in respect of exploitation and contextual safeguarding.
The Intelligence Lead (Multi-Agency Safeguarding) will work with colleagues across the partnership to deliver a range of data and research projects focused on identifying those at risk, contextual safeguarding and mitigating risk and harm through sharing appropriate data and information with both internal and external stakeholders.
- To identify and implement appropriate analytical systems and software to analyse partnership data, information and intelligence to inform operational and strategic planning at boards such as MACE, Exploitation Strategic Group, High Harm and Safeguarding Board.
- To collate shared data information from partner agencies on individuals, places, networks and peer groups who are involved in or at risk from exploitation, youth/group violence or other Extra Familial Harm.
- To develop a way to maintain oversight of the analytical system identified and ensure it is maintained and any upgraded as required within contract management.
- To work with the partners (such as Local Authority, the Constabulary, Health, Education, Community Safety Partnerships and Voluntary organisation) to appropriately share data, information and intelligence to allow risk to be managed and prevention of escalation in line with current legislation.
- To prepare written reports and visual presentations based on analytical analysis to operational groups, strategic groups and individual Senior Managers as required
- Visualising data to help non-data users to understand
- Conduct trend analysis and forecasting based on the data and information gathered
This Senior Insight Analyst (Intelligence) will lead the contextual safeguarding work area, including the following functions;
- Leading projects to provide robust, timely and accurate research, analysis.
- Understanding data extraction and sharing in line with relevant legislation.
- Providing insight reports and benchmarking information.
- Managing relevant analysts in the team
About you
You'll have a proven track record of working with multiple data sources, with a particular focus on either crime, community safety or children’s social care.
High level of competence with specialist data manipulation and analysis software (e.g. SQL, Geographical Information Systems, data visualisation platforms such as Power BI, and statistical packages).
Good communication skills, both oral and written, are also essential for this role, as the postholder will be required to present complex and sometimes technical information in appropriate forms for a wide range of internal and external audiences.
