**Assistant Residential Worker (Waking Nights)**

**Salary**:£21,600 per annum, pro rata.

**Location**:Bath, Somerset.

**Contract/Hours**:Permanent, Part Time (working 24 hours a week). Night shifts, 10pm to 10am.

**A bit about the role**

Beaumonds is a short break service for children and young people aged between 8 and 18 with disabilities. We focus on providing our young people a fun and stimulating short break in a safe, friendly and homely environment.

Beaumonds home is located in a scenic area with great access into Bath. The building has undergone refurbishment in July 2021. This has significantly improved the internal facilities, including a new kitchen and wet room
- _The successful applicant for this role will also receive a comprehensive training and qualification package, as well as a 2% salary increase upon completion._

**How you'll help to create brighter futures**

We have an extremely dedicated and professional staff team that work in a kind, thoughtful, sensitive and caring way, their aim is to keep the children safe whilst providing them activities and events they otherwise would not be able to experience. The staff team are committed to the children and put them first in all of their planning processes. Their aim is also to build positive relationships with families, young people and other multi agency professionals surrounding the young person so that a professionally informed support package surrounds the young person enabling their individual growth and development. You will make a difference by:

- Providing care for our young people throughout the night by supporting with set routines, attend to personal care and administer medication following appropriate training.
- Building and maintaining professional working relationships with children young people and their families by providing emotional, social and practical support to young people who can display challenging emotional and social difficulties.
- Establishing relationships and links within the community to assist the child, young person and their family.
- Supporting young people in becoming independent and communicating their needs.
- Ensuring young people have a positive experience.
- Helping young people reach their full potential.

- A willingness to work toward Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent within two years of taking up post. This will be fully funded and supported by Action for Children
- Willingness to participate in relevant on the job or off site training.
- Previous experience in social care would be desirable but not essential.
- A real compassionate and positive attitude is a MUST.
- A positive approach, providing a fun environment for all the children in our care.
- The confidence and ability to use own initiative.
