Lagan Airport Maintenance Ltd (part of the Lagan Specialist Contracting Group) are recruiting for two Experienced Drilling, Sawing & Sealing Operatives to join our enthusiastic, dedicated and ambitious team.

**Company & Role Overview**

Lagan Airport Maintenance Ltd (LAML) part of the Lagan Specialist Contracting Group is a multi-disciplined specialist maintenance contractor working primarily in, but not limited to, the Airports, Ports, Defence and Construction sectors.

Working on civil and military airfields LAML undertake all aspects of air-side and land
- side airport infrastructure maintenance regularly providing support and services direct to clients and principal contractors as well as internal support on Lagan Aviation & Infrastructure projects.

As experienced and skilled operatives you will have proven experience in delivering quality saw cutting, drilling and joint sealing activities as well as experience in AGL civils.

**What you’ll do**
- In your role you will be expected to: _
- Always work in a safe manner in accordance with the Company SHEQ Policy & Arrangements highlighting & reporting on any near misses, safety observations, good practice or concerns in accordance with LAML policy.
- Work as part of the team, or alone as required, to undertake works as instructed in pre-shift briefings and as stated by the LAML Management, Senior Supervisor or Lead Operative.
- Ensure all work activities are carried out in accordance with the method statement and in compliance with risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
- Ensure all Client SHEQ requirements are observed when working on the site.
- Ensure works are carried out in timely manner and to a high-quality standard, taking no short cuts.
- Demonstrate a proactive and willing attitude to ensure the job is completed to programme and to specification and required standards.
- Operate specialist saw cutting, sealing and drilling equipment in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions and Company procedures
- Your main responsibilities and accountabilities will be to: _
- Ensure prior to every job all relevant documentation such as risk assessment, method statements, site inductions, pre-start briefings are understood and signed up to using the Reflow App.
- Along with other team members, ensure the necessary tools, equipment, materials and consumables for the job are collected from the LAML unit including appropriate PPE.
- Undertake pre-use vehicle prior to use and plant checks on a daily basis prior to works commencing, recording these on the Reflow App.
- Travelling to the works location on time and reporting to the Site Management, ensuring any site inductions are undertaken prior to works commencing.
- Following Tachograph training, to ensure Tachograph is used correctly and ensuring all drivers hours requirements & working time directive requirements are adhered to.
- Complying with all client job safety requirements.
- Work co-operatively and with a positive attitude with both the LAML and Lagan internal and other external workforce representatives.
- Look at ways with the team to improve efficiencies and ways of operating as needed.
- Ensure your plant & equipment is cleaned at the end of each shift or before the next shift commences.
- Ensure the interior of your company van is kept tidy, clean and presentable and devoid of unnecessary equipment and clutter to ensure trip hazards are minimised.

- Your main skills, experience and qualifications for the role will include: _

**Essential**
- Previous experience in Drilling, Sawing and Hot & Cold Pour Joint Sealing - preferably gained in airfields or defence environment
- Level 2 NVQ in Drilling & Sawing
- CSCS Card - Skilled Worker
- Full Driving License, permitting you to drive in the UK/ROI
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal, at all levels
- Knowledge of specialist sawing, sealing, drilling and concrete cutting techniques
- The ability to read and understand drawings, with guidance from the Senior Supervisor
- Willing to undertake training qualifications as the needs of the business grow
- Able to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative

**Requirements**:
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required undergo a DBS Clearance Check in order to obtain

Airport Security Clearance. This will involve providing a five-year verifiable employment history.

The role will also require working away from home on a regular basis, with day and night shifts.

Occasionally there will also be weekend work required depending upon project requirements.
