Junior Merchandiser

Are you ready to take your merchandising career to the next level? We're on the lookout for a driven and detail-oriented Junior Merchandiser to join our team at Flair Rugs. As a Junior Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain, managing stock levels, and contributing to the successful launch and life cycle management of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supply Chain Excellence: Collaborate on critical aspects of the supply chain, including merchandise, stock control, quality control (QC), and coordination with our India office. Your role will be essential in ensuring seamless operations along the critical path.
- Effective Stock Management: Take the reins in managing purchase and stock levels, aligning them with stock targets and budget requirements. Your expertise will ensure that stock budgets are controlled and sustainable, especially during periods of rapid sales growth.
- Strategic Product Launches: Play an active role in making strategic recommendations and decisions for product launches and life cycle stages. Your insights will shape the success of our product lineup.
- Discount & Markdown Strategy: Develop and implement plans for discount and markdown activities, ensuring optimal sell-through of products and maximizing profitability.
- Collaborative New Product Development: Work alongside the buying team to support and facilitate new product development while maintaining range planning techniques that help control the width, depth, and structure of our product offerings.
- Forecasting & Availability: Keep a watchful eye on forecasting, monitor stock levels, and ensure products are consistently available to meet customer demand.
- Data-Driven Reporting: Produce and analyse reports to maintain stock levels.
- Supplier Relationships: Collaborate with the Merchandise Team Leader and buying team to ensure suppliers consistently meet expectations and grow with us, fostering strong partnerships.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with various departments including buying, operations, finance, and sales, sharing insights and requirements to ensure a well-coordinated approach.

Interview process: There will be an initial screening interview via teams. If you are successful at this stage, this will be followed by a 1st stage face to face competency-based interview with the hiring manager. There will also be a practical skills-based assessment. If this goes well, a 2nd stage face to face interview will follow with a member of the senior management team.

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
