Assistant Head Gardener

Adam Sidford Gardens are recruiting for an Assistant Head Gardener (24 hours/three days a week).

The family history can be traced back to Bridzor Farm in Wiltshire, where the surrounding landscape and gardens were always at the heart of the Sidford’s way of life.

What makes Adam Sidford Gardens unique is the ability to cover all garden requirements, from start to finish. This may start with a complete garden overhaul, complete with a new design and landscaping. Followed by ongoing garden maintenance.

**The Role**

You will be able to hit the ground running and have confidence in maintaining large gardens to a high standard.

General tasks for this role include:

- Shrub pruning
- Hedge cutting
- Flower bed weeding
- Grass cutting
- Planting
- Two year's experience working for high net-worth clients
- A strong knowledge of common shrubs and flowers
- Ability to identify weeds in perennial flower beds
- Proficient in using garden machinery (lawn mower, hedge cutter and strimmer)
- Confident working on a ladder
- Willing to attend CPD courses
- Full UK driving licence
- RHS Level 2 qualification (desirable)
- Chainsaw qualifications CS30 & 31 (desirable)
- Experience of fencing and patio repairs (desirable)

In return we offer £14-15 per hour depending on experience.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: £14.00-£15.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Fordingbridge: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Gardening: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
