**OPTICAL ASSISTANT**
Reporting to Practice Manager
Location Greasby Opticians
**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:
To support the opticians practice through dispensing patients, interaction with other staff and suppliers
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES / HARD KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
**Work Experience / Technical Skills / Sub-systems**
- Greeting patients
- Advising and dispensing patients
- Co-ordinating staff rotas and working patterns
- Answering phones applicable IT skills.
- Interaction / negotiation with suppliers and sales reps
- Placing orders for specs/frames/lenses/optical Management Software sundries
- Contact with patients on the telephone
- Engaging with patients/customers through practice environment social media
- Maintaining patient records using iClarity patient management software
- Provide refreshments for patients as appropriate
- Assisting with pre-screening
- Carrying out contact lens teaches, follow ups
- Any additional duties as deemed appropriate by your manager
