**The Role**

We are looking for an experienced Painter and Decorator on a freelance basis to perform detailed decorative works across our 470-acre Estate which includes a Grade II listed building. We’re looking for someone who has great attention to detail and who understands what it is to be part of a busy team.

As our Painter and Decorator, you will be contributing to an exceptional guest and member experience through the provision of a high standard of painting and decoration, and ad-hoc maintenance tasks. You will be supporting the team with their painting schedule and planned preventative maintenance to ensure all guests and members receive a five-star standard stay.

Every day brings a different challenge and learning at Beaverbrook, so you must be keen, flexible and willing to work as part of a team. Ideally you will have experience in working within heritage, Grade II buildings or within hospitality industry. You will come into contact with guests and members so you must be professional in approach and appearance.

**The Person**

You will be qualified in painting and decorating (minimum NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) or hold equivalent experience. You must have great timekeeping skills, and be able to work to a set schedule, delivering works to completion within agreed time frames.

When not working on painting and decorating you may be required to assist with planned preventative maintenance. You must be IT literate, willing to update logbooks and job sheets, and able to work pro-actively.

We require flexible hours outside if our peak times especially in our restaurants and guest facing areas. You may be required at key times during the year which include nights and weekends.
