- Develop an individual’s resilience by enabling them to self-manage and find their own solutions to their crisis in a non-judgemental, empathetic and respectful way.
- Provide somewhere to turn to for individuals (and those who have relationships with those) experiencing social/emotional crisis, mental distress, anxiety, panic attacks, depression and/or having suicidal thoughts.
- Provide a safe space for individuals to de-escalate and be supported in a relaxed, welcoming environment either in a 1-1 or more informal group/social setting.
- Facilitate a communal area where individuals can relax, engage in activities, read a book etc. either on their own or in the company of others as appropriate.
- Provide 1-1 targeted support sessions focussing on the individuals presenting cause, helping them to find a way to recover/de-escalate from their immediate crisis.
- Support individuals in developing a short-term recovery plan for the proceeding hours/days/weeks as appropriate.
- Ensuring service user feedback in the form of compliment, comments and complaints are encouraged and recorded.
