We have an excellent new opportunity for a Site Operative at our Billingham Asbestos Transfer Station. The role will be working towards Site Waste Manager. Your main duty is to control all aspects of waste management on site. You will also be responsible for the daily operations relating to disposal of waste transfer, primarily dealing with contractors and their supervisors so that processes continue to run smoothly and can develop over time.

You’ll be identifying and monitoring various targets with your colleagues to improve the client base within the Northeast.

All relevant training will be provided to carryout your duties

**Please note this is a lone working position**

Other responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring a culture of safety is maintained on site - managing safe systems of work, risk assessments, and encouraging compliance with company policies and requirements..
- Waste input and output controls
- Coordinating with the transport department on skip and container booking along van collections.
- Knowledge of health and safety and a drive to maintain high standards in the workplace
- Data input for waste returns on a daily basis.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A good knowledge of basic Microsoft Office (Excel Word)

**Salary**: £28,000.00 per year
