Barribal Associates has a long and established working relationship with a boutique UK Private Equity House. An exciting opportunity has presented itself within one of the portfolio companies for a career focussed and ambitious Finance Manager to join theGerman operation.

The company is a full-service provider of digital, high-tech signage solutions for the retail sector, as well as corporate communication and public spaces. Headquartered in Sweden with 10 locations throughout Europe + the USA, the organisation has c200 employeesand manages 80,000 installations in more than 50 markets. The strategic plan forecasts significant growth, both organically and through acquisitions. The German subsidiary was itself acquired in 2021 and is becoming an integral part of the Group.

This newly created position will jointly report to the Country Managing Director as well as the Group CFO (based in Sweden) and will see you take full responsibility for the Finance Department of the German subsidiary.

Your remit will include, but not be limited to:

- Monthly and annual financial reporting (P&L and balance sheet), preparing the monthly and annual financial statements (under IFRS) as well as the tax reviews in cooperation with the auditors.
- Consistent reporting (consolidation, analysis, interpretation and commentary) to both the parent company and the Private Equity owners.
- The annual budget process with financial planning and forecasting.
- Oversee a small finance team and manage the relationships with external partners and your Finance Manager colleagues in the other European sites.
- The role will also require a "continuous improvement" mindset and be pivotal in shaping ongoing process improvement and development as well as a significant involvement in system implementation.

Applicants will be fully qualified with a proven track record of delivery within this type of position, ideally within a multi-currency and multi-geography organisation. Experience of IFRS and cross-border tax will be especially favourable. Excellent spokenand written German and English is a pre-requisite.

You will be able to demonstrate your technical prowess and have a passionate enthusiasm for financial reporting and a solid understanding of how beneficial that can be across the operational business itself. Experience of working within a Private Equitybacked business or other high-growth environment would be of benefit, but no more so than your commitment to delivery, coupled with a career focussed desire to succeed within a demanding environment.
