TP One (Hereford) Ltd is a **poultry producer** looking to employ a **farm assistant** on their **broiler farm** based **near Hereford**.

We have some flexibility in the role to suit the individual so **can offer hours to reflect a person’s needs**, from 35 hours/week to 45 hours/week.

We are a family business with one poultry site as well as an arable farming business. We pride ourselves on high standards and do our very best to look after our small team of employees.

We are a 10 shed site using modern and automated equipment and have a track record of excellent performance.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to **develop a career in poultry** or for someone who is looking be part of a small team.

**Activities and Responsibilities**
- Working with the Farm Manager to assist with daily duties.
- Daily walking of poultry houses to check house conditions and bird welfare. To remove dead birds and humanely cull unhealthy birds.
- To assist the manager throughout the entire crop cycle from preparing for chick intake to the birds leaving the site.
- Basic maintenance of site equipment.
- Mowing, strimming and grounds maintenance.

**Skills and attributes**
- Previous experience with poultry or other livestock is preferred.
- Basic maintenance skills.
- To have the discipline and motivation to work to high standards with mínimal supervision.
- Some flexibility regarding working hours is needed and weekend availability.
- Good communication with the farm manager and other staff.
- Must have a UK Driving License.

**Salary**: £12.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
