An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist with both a strong interest in working with children, young people and families to join our Ealing Brighter Futures team. We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Psychologist to support our work with children and families being supported by Ealing’s social care teams. The Brighter Futures Psychology team sees clinical psychologists embedded in social care teams across children’s services (children in care, leaving care, child protection and adoption). The post holder will support the team in delivering psychological services to children and young people and their families. This may include assisting with assessments, co-delivering therapeutic interventions, group and parenting work, supporting the team with Routine Outcome Measures (ROMs), supporting audit, service evaluation, research and Quality Improvement (QI) projects, and being part of service-user involvement and co-production activities.

The post holder will support the team in delivering psychological services to social care colleagues, children and young people and their families. This may include assisting with consultations to social workers, developing materials (story boards, life story work resources and direct work tools), supporting assessments, assisting with group work and supporting service development through routine outcome monitoring, audit and service improvement work. The post holder will work under the supervision and receive some supervision from a Specialist Clinical Psychologist within the team who will support adherence to professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Psychologist (0.4) in Brighter Futures Clinical Psychology Service. The post holder will support the team in delivering psychological services to children, young people and families who are supported by Ealing Children’s Social Care Services. Brighter Futures is a team of clinical psychologists embedded across statutory children’s services including children looked after, leaving care, adoption and safeguarding/ child protection. The Assistant Psychologist will support the team in co-delivering therapeutic group interventions, for parents and carers, assisting in assessments, developing materials for direct work and being part of service-user involvement and co-production activities. They will also support the team with service evaluation, quality improvement and routine outcome monitoring.

You would be joining a large and welcoming CAMHS Psychology team in West London NHS Trust who are committed to service improvement, staff well-being, and who value diversity in our workforce. West London employs psychologists in the full range of settings including primary care, secondary care, inpatients and forensic services. This means there is ample opportunity for networking with colleagues and sharing expertise. You will receive your own Clinical Supervision. We have good links with the North London Clinical Psychology training courses and offer placements to trainees within our service.
