**Job Overview**

Modality LLP is a large-scale provider of NHS Outpatient Services, renowned for its innovative approach to delivering efficient pathways for patients requiring specialist care, leading to high quality patient outcomes. We work in partnership with a number of hospitals across the country to collaboratively redesign outpatient services with more care being delivered in community settings.

We are recruiting Senior HCAs to support with the smooth running of outpatient and daycase procedure clinics, supporting consultants and theatre teams with the management of high-quality and efficient pathways.

Senior HCAs will be required to support a range of NHS/private procedures including procedures carried out under local and general anaesthetic.

**Weekend working and travel between our sites is an essential requirement for this role.**

**Main duties of the job**

We are recruiting Senior HCAs to support with the smooth running of outpatient and daycase procedure clinics, supporting consultants and theatre teams with the management of high-quality and efficient pathways.

Senior HCAs will be required to support a range of NHS/private procedures including procedures carried out under local and general anaesthetic.

Senior HCAs will assist the service/specialty clinical team in maintaining the patient environment to the highest standard and ensuring patient movement to and from examination/treatment rooms is carried out safely, efficiently, and in a dignified manner. Post holders will assist clinical members of the team by preparing the clinical environment before/between examinations/procedures ensuring that all equipment is clean and consumables are available to enable an efficient patient flow.

Modality LLP is a provider of NHS community outpatient services within a number of regions across the UK.

Our service offer and expertise include:

- Over 15 years of experience of delivering community outpatient services
- Contracts with ICBs and hospital providers
- A diverse clinical workforce of consultants, GPs with extended roles, specialist nurses and allied health professionals
- Delivery of over 150,000 patient consultations per year
- Delivery of 1st consultations within a maximum of 4 weeks from referral from a choice of community locations, 7 days per week

**Person Specification**:
Qualifications - Essential

Evidence of Higher education pathway (NVQ level 2/3)

Evidence of Continuing Professional Development

Care certificate

**Knowledge - Essential**

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Multi-professional or agency working.

Phlebotomy training and experience

**Knowledge - Desirable**

Experience of supporting outpatient and day case surgical procedures

Experience of working within a hospital environment

Experience of supporting pre-op assessment clinics

**Skills - Essential**

Good oral and written communication skills

Uses initiative and discretion.

Demonstrates the capacity to maintain professional and courteous conduct in difficult/contentious situations.

Keen to learn and able to use own initiative.

Good interpersonal skills

Good organisational skills

Ability to work within a team and autonomously.

Ability to manage situations and environments.

Self-motivated, mature and enthusiastic
